Hand Knotted Tibetan Tiger Rug

This is an upscale, highend hand knotted tibetan tiger rug / carpet (100 knots per square inch). It features a beautiful Tiger motiv Carpet for home and office decoration. The symbolic meanings of Tiger is Protection and Strength. This rug was hand woven and hand knotted in Nepal by Tibetan rug weavers. The rug is made from 100% pure tibetan highland sheep wool and silk.

Hand knotted tibetan rugs are made in usually three (or more) different knot densities – 60, 80 or 100 knots per square inch. The difference is in the thickness of the thread. Using a thick thread of 60 or 80 knots/square inch results in a thicker tile. For a very elaborate design one must take a thin thread with 100 knots or more.

But this will also result in a thinner tile.

The Carpet is Azo dyed (Azo dyes are used for colouring a variety of consumer goods such as foods, cosmetics, carpets, clothes, leather etc) and Child Labour Free.
